I have recently just handed in my white project. This is a first year assignment and consists of producing a final garment which must be made from non stretch white materials.
My final garment was inspired by architecture with a twist from old victorian bustles and leg of mutton sleeves. Since living near Snibston Discovery Park it was a great opportunity for myself to take advantage of the exhibitions that are on my door step and even better relate it to my project!
Unfortunately for me I had 3 days left before final hand in and I went and broke my little toe! .. I say unfortunately but i did get an extension of 2 weeks so it cant all be that bad!? or maybe when you're as badly organised as me 2 weeks really isn't good because I never used them anyway! Instead as per usual I ended up rushing in the last 3 days spending all day and night slavering away like a little beaver. I guess that's what us fashion students are good at!
Anyway on a good note my work is all handed in now so when I receive my sketchbook and portfolio back I will post some more images of the development and sketchbook pages for you to see.
